Male Facelift
Exposure to sun and the elements can take a toll and cause premature wrinkles. As we age, our faces are among the first places that begin to show the signs.
A male facelift procedure will remove some of the most prominent wrinkles and sagging skin on your face and neck, and generally take years off the appearance of your face.
Our face is the first thing people look at when they meet us – make a great first impression.
The Consultation
When you go in for your consultation, Dr. Ghaderi will evaluate your face and neck and likely have some suggestions on how to achieve a more youthful appearance. He’ll also discuss your goals for you final look, and discuss what changes can and can’t be made for the best results.
Facelift Options
Let Dr. Ghaderi guide you to the right procedure. A traditional facelift is appropriate for addressing more advanced stages of wrinkles and loose skin. This procedure includes not only the pulling back of the skin, but also repositioning some of the deeper tissues, if necessary, to get an optimal look. If there’s too much excess skin, some can be strategically removed to tighten up the region. A mini-face lift is a less invasive option for men considering cosmetic facial surgery. Dr. Ghaderi will help guide you through the process.
What to Expect
Facelifts can vary greatly in extensiveness, and this will determine how the procedure is performed. Facelifts can be performed under general anesthesia or IV anesthesia with sedation (also known as twilight) depending on the extent of the procedure.
Most facelifts are performed as an outpatient procedure and the patient can go home the same day. The patient will need to coordinate with a family member or friend to get a ride home.
About Recovery from Male Facelift Surgery
After the procedure is done, you surgeon will put on a mask so your can heal in the optimal position.
The dressings are usually removed five to seven days after the procedure. During the recovery period, which could take a few weeks, you are advised to avoid putting any pressure on your face.
This includes sleeping on your back to give your face the best chance to heal.
Facelift surgery may be just the thing you need to look and feel your best. Discover the possibilities during a consultation.
